Narberth Church To Be Razed For Apartments, Reports Say
The 125-year-old Baptist Church of the Evangel will be the home to a 20-unit apartment building.
NARBERTH, PA – After standing for more than 120 years on Elmwood Avenue in Narberht, the Baptist Church of the Evangel will be razed and apartments will replace it, according to media reports.
Narberth Borough officials gave the go-ahead to Jason Gordon, who want to redevelop the site for a 20-unit apartment building, according to Main Line Media News.
Borough Council approved the plan Wednesday, May 17.

The Philadlephia Business Journal reports the plan initially set out to preserve the church and redo the interior to convert it into a mixed-use space.
The 125-year-old church was built even before Narberth was incorporated, the Main Line Media News reports.
