Narberth Leprechauns Hunted, Found
There was singing, dancing and storytelling galore among more than 1,000 people in downtown Narberth for the fourth annual Great Narberth Leprechaun Hunt.
As festival attendance goes in this town, the Great Narberth Leprechaun Hunt still plays second or third fiddle to the Fourth of July and the Dickens Festival. But in its fourth year, the gathering still drew at least 500 children and at least as many parents on a blustery Saturday afternoon.
The free event, sponsored by the Narberth Business Association, featured Irish music and dancing from the McDade and Cara schools of Irish dance in Havertown and Drexel Hill, storytelling, and a scavenger hunt—there were nine treat-dispensing leprechauns around town to find.
Also on hand was KYW Newsradio, which gave kids the chance to send out St. Patrick’s Day wishes to the rest of the Delaware Valley.
