Narberth Park Batting Cage Damaged Beyond Repair
The apparatus cost $5,000, Mayor Tom Grady said.

A recently purchased portable batting cage in Narberth Park was damaged Friday evening when juveniles attempted to climb on top of it, Mayor Tom Grady said.
Built of lightweight materials to facilitate its mobility, the $5,000 structure is not meant to support a person's weight, the mayor said; it cannot be repaired.
Restitution will be sought from the parents of the culprits police identified, Grady added, but no charges will be filed.

The act was not malicious, the mayor said: "It was just very expensive childhood foolishness."
