New Medical Marijuana Dispensary Proposed For Main Line

If all goes according to plan, Ilera Healthcare will open the Main Line's third medical marijuana dispensary, and second on Lancaster Ave.

The Main Line could get another medical marijuana dispensary should Ilera Healthcare get approval from a local zoning hearing board later in June.

The Radnor Township Zoning Hearing Board is set to decide on whether or not to grant variances and exemptions to Ilera Healthcare for a proposed center at 1024 E. Lancaster Ave. in Bryn Mawr.

Owned by Crotonville Holdings, the location is zoned as residential, so Ilera is seeking a zoning variance to allow commercial use of the property, according to Zoning Hearing Board documents. Ilera also requests an exemption from code detailing parking space regulations.

The board will examine the proposal at its June 21 meeting.

About 450 square feet of the building would be converted to retail space, documents show.

Ilera operates a facility in Plymouth Meeting, which opened in early May.

Medical marijuana centers already open on the Main Line are Keystone Shops, located at 420 W. Lancaster Ave. in Devon, and TerraVida Holistic Centers located at 249 Planebrook Road in Malvern.
