New Mediterranean Seafood Spot Opens In Bala Cynwyd

James Beard Award Finalist Top Chef winner Nick Elmi's new, highly anticipated restaurant in the Pencoyd Iron Works is open for business.

BALA CYNWYD, PA — A new place for fine dining is open for business in Bala Cynwyd, as James Beard Award Finalist Top Chef winner Nick Elmi has opened Lark.

Dubbed one of Philadelphia Magazine's most anticipated restaurants of 2021, Lark sits on top of the Pencoyd Iron Works at 611 Righters Ferry Road in Bala Cynwyd, overlooking the Schuylkill River and onto Manayunk and Wissahickon.

Elmi and Fia Berisha teamed up to bring "sustainable seafood, craveable hand-made pastas, heritage meats, local vegetables, craft cocktails and a thoughtfully curated wine list with approachable and elevated options" to diners in the region.

Lark's dishes are crafted by Chef Michael Millon and Elmi.

Menu items include things such as roasted dorade, squid ink chitarra with lobster and calamari, butter roasted scallops, sea urchin deviled eggs, and much more. Non-seafood dishes range from glazed duck breast to short rib, and roasted mushroom ravioli to charred bitter greens.

In addition to an eclectic menu, Lark boasts numerous cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages.

For now, Lark is open from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. It is also open for private events in a space that can accommodate parties of 20 to 250 people.
