REMINDER: Electronic Recycling Event Saturday

Residents can safely recycle everything from TVs to computers, microwaves to printers, and more at the June 3 event.

In case you missed it, Narberth and Lower Merion residents are invited to use an electronics recycling service this weekend that will help you get rid of unused and old electronic devices.

From 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 3, you can bring all those unused and old electronics to the Lower Merion Public Works Complex at 1300 N. Woodbine Road, Penn Valley for an "Anything with a Plug" recycling event.

The event is open to Narberth Borough and Lower Merion Township residents only.

Acceptable items include cell phones, microwaves, computers, TVs, printers, air conditioners, laptops, cameras, and other smaller electronics.

Smoke detectors and large appliances, such a refrigerators, will not be accepted.

Residents can recycle CRT, LED, and LECD TVs and computer monitors for $30 a piece; $10 per microwave, dehumidifier, or air conditioner; and $100 per projection TV or wooden console. Credit cards will be accepted at the event.

eForce Recycling, which is running the event, will wipe all device hard drives clean so your personal information does not end up in the wrong hands.
