Sewer Main Breaks In Bala Cynwyd: Lower Merion Township

BALA CYNWYD, PA – A sanitary sewer force main broke in Bala Cynwyd Thursday afternoon, forcing the eastbound curb lane of Belmont Avenue to close, according to Lower Merion Township.

The break on Belmont Avenue is below Belmont Terrace, across from Westminster Cemetery, the township said.

Crews are on scene working to address the issue and are expected to work through the evening.

The township said tanker trucks are also on scene to minimize potential sewer spillage.
