Snow Advisory for Lower Merion Township
Residents should not park in cul-de-sacs and on emergency snow routes, the township says.

The following was provided to Patch by Lower Merion Township:
During and immediately after the snow and rain being experienced throughout the day and into the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, Lower Merion Township is reminding residents to park on the side of the street with even-numbered addresses (because it is an even-numbered year) - except on streets where there is normally no parking on the even side of the street.
For residents with driveways, please park there. Residents should not park in cul-de-sacs and on emergency snow routes. All residential and commercial sidewalks must be cleared 36 inches in width and within 24 hours of the end of snowfall. (These parameters have recently been changed by official ordinance from the previous 30 inches / 30 hours rule.)

Please inform snow plow operators not to push snow into the street from driveways or parking lots - there will be increased enforcement on this issue.
The snow is not expected to impact Library hours, trash and recycling pickups and other Township service operations. Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, a Refuse and Recycling holiday collection schedule has been in effect for this week. There will be no Refuse or Recycling collections on Thursday, November 27th. The Township Administration Building, Township Treasurer’s Office and all Township Libraries will be closed for business in observance of Thanksgiving.
