The Greeks, a Narberth Bar, Voted Best of Patch
A deluge of votes came in for The Greeks and its neighbor, McShea's.

"786 votes? There's not that many people in Narberth!"
Drew Johnson was exaggerating, but certainly this week's Narberth-Bala Cynwyd Patch "best of Patch" poll——drew considerably more attention than usual.
Out of the 10 options in Narberth, Bala Cynwyd, Belmont Hills and Penn Valley, the top vote-getter was Johnson's bar , in Narberth. The Greeks got 786 votes, edging out neighboring , which got 738. Six of the eight other bars split 48 more votes, and all of it added up to 1,572 ballots from Patch users.

Johnson was pleased to hear about his victory. Asked whether he had had "cohorts" helping to pad The Greeks' vote total, the owner did not admit any ballot box-stuffing movement.
"I've got a lot of relatives and friends," Johnson said. "I don't know about 'cohorts.'"

Johnson said he had actually expected McShea's to pull out victory before the 4 p.m. Friday deadline, and he emphasized the collegial working relationship among several area watering holes.
"They do a good job" at McShea's, Johnson said. "Same with , … we’ve all got a good thing going on."
