Trail Construction Beginning This Week, Prompting its Closure
Construction should end with the end of summer.

The much-anticipated expansion of the Cynwyd Heritage Trail is set to begin Tuesday, Lower Merion Township announced Monday.
The Lower Merion Parks and Recreation pathway will connect Bala Cynwyd neighborhoods to Manayunk in Philadelphia by bike and walking path for all nearby residents to use.
The construction will cause the trail to be closed for the "construction of a two-mile separated trail that will feature both a 12-foot wide paved trail and a 10-foot wide soft surface trail," the township press release said.
