Two Narberth Council Members Conclude Service
Mary Jo Daley served for 20 years on the borough board, Nancy Lotz for 12.
Colleagues and constituents bade two Narberth Borough Council members farewell Wednesday night at their last meeting after 32 combined years of service.
Mary Jo Daley departs after 20 years on council, the last 10 as president. Nancy Lotz is ending her 12-year run.
"It's been an absolutely incredible experience ... just been such a tremendous honor to sit here and do this job," Daley said. "I really appreciate that you didn't kick me out of any of the meetings. I know I will really miss it; we've seen some really neat things done."

She thanked her colleagues and the borough's full-time staff for their support, as did Lotz.
"It's been an honor to serve the borough," Lotz said. "I'm really proud of the work the council has done. I'm moving on, and it's nice to have new people participating."

Neither Daley nor Lotz ran for re-election in 2011. Their seats on the seven-member council will be taken by new members Michael Alexander and Bob Weisbord. They and incumbent Sam Quinn were unopposed in the Democratic primary and in the general election.
Mayor Tom Grady thanked the outgoing councilmembers, saying, "It's been a valuable time you've spent with us in the borough."
Montgomery Avenue resident Bob Winkleman also offered his thanks to Daley and Lotz—"on behalf of the borough, or at least my block."
