Want to Help Run Narberth? Apply By Noon Friday
The borough is preparing to appoint a council member to fill a vacancy.

Any Narberth resident who wants to join the seven-seat Borough Council without the drag of an election campaign has the chance to make it happen.
Applications are being taken through noon Friday, Jan. 27, to fill the vacancy left by Councilman Surge Ghosh's .
At least three people have applied so far, said Fred Hansell, the assistant borough manager. Council members typically meet for two full meetings a month, as well as occasional sessions for their three-member committees.

The council will interview applicants in a special meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, and possibly 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, at the , 100 Conway Ave. Members plan to make their final decision at the Wednesday, Feb. 8 meeting.
