Water-Main Break Forces Parking Plan B For Narberth Voters

Residents are being diverted to the Citizens Bank lot.

A water main burst on Haverford Avenue in front of Tuesday morning, forcing the street to close at Conway Avenue and cutting off parking access for general election voters, borough officials said.

A "Narberth Flash" email alert at 11 a.m. told voters to park in the Citizens Bank lot further up Haverford Avenue. Council President Mary Jo Daley said the pipe burst about 6 a.m. and that the repair crew had given no estimate for when the work would conclude.

The borough building is the polling place for two of its three wards, Ward 2 and Ward 3.
