Welsh Valley Continues Veterans Day Tradition Of Gratitude In Lower Merion School District

Thank to veterans and current service members for their exemplary efforts and self-less sacrifices.

For the past several years on Veterans Day, sixth grade social studies classes at Welsh Valley Middle School have taken the time to make phone and Zoom calls in an effort to personally thank veterans and current service members for their exemplary efforts and self-less sacrifices to support and defend our nation. The current crop of sixth grade Dragons - under the guidance of social studies teacher Christopher Gari - kept the tradition alive as they spent the day reaching out to service members past and present to express their gratitude.

Throughout the day students had the opportunity to speak with former Welsh Valley employee Matt Kaufman, who is currently serving in the United States Coast Guard; Retired Navy Seabee Will Muliken; current United States Congressman (MA-4) and former Marine Jake Auchincloss; along with a multitude of Vietnam Veterans and those who are currently serving the United States of America with honor across all branches of the armed services.
