Election 2017: Your Guide To Baldwin, Whitehall Races

Here's what you need to know about the races for Baldwin-Whitehall School Board, and Baldwin and Whitehall mayor and council.

BALDWIN, PA - With the Nov. 7 election rapidly approaching, here's what's at stake in Baldwin, Whitehall and the Baldwin-Whitehall School District:

BALDWIN-WHITEHALL SCHOOL DISTRICT

There is little intrigue here. With four open seats, the Democratic ballot will include incumbents Karen Brown and David Solenday, along with Louise Mancuso Wolf and Gerald Pantone. No Republican candidates are on the ballot.

BALDWIN MAYOR AND COUNCIL

Democrat David DePretis is running unopposed for mayor. On council, Democrats Marianne Conley, Francis Scott, Chad Hurka and E. John Egger are virtually guaranteed election for the four open seats as no Republican candidates are on the ballot.

WHITEHALL MAYOR AND COUNCIL

Democratic Mayor Jim Nowalk is being challenged by Republican Julie Mancine. There are four open council seats. Democrats on the ballot are incumbents Kathy DePuy and John Wotus, along with Alexa Mihalko and Thomas Kelley. Republican candidates are incumbents William Veith and Linda Book, along with Chris Mooney and Theodore Mueskes.
