Suspect Named In Whitehall Woman's Disappearance

Police say Douglas Berry worked as a handyman for Elizabeth Wisenfeld, who was reported missing April 30.

WHITEHALL, PA - No charges have been filed in connection with a Whitehall woman reported missing last week, but her handyman has been named a suspect in her disappearance.

Douglas Berry, arrested Thursday on a weapons charge, was described in court documents as the "prime suspect in a missing persons case." Berry, 47, of Liberty Borough, works as a handyman for Elizabeth Wisenfeld, 67, reported missing by her daughter on April 30.

Police found blood in Wiesenfeld's bed and say a masked person used Wisenfeld's ATM at a PNC Bank following her disappearance.
