1. Pennsylvania man charged, allegedly planning to meet decoy posing as child (wtae.com) — Beaver County detectives arrested a 44-year-old man at Bradys Run Park after he allegedly arranged online to meet someone he believed was a 15-year-old girl, who was actually a decoy. The sting, coordinated with nonprofit 814 Pred Hunters, led to felony charges and a $250,000 bond, and followed earlier public tension between the group and the Beaver County district attorney. 
2. Almost 1,000 Duquesne Light Company union workers go on strike after failed contract negotiations (beavercountyradio.com) — Nearly 1,000 Duquesne Light Company union workers are on strike, and the company says those employees help serve more than 600,000 customers across Beaver and Allegheny counties. Union leaders cite staffing, benefits, and safety concerns, while DLC insists it is bargaining in good faith and must balance worker demands with keeping rates affordable and service reliable for local residents.
3. McMurray man arrested for driving under the influence of drugs in Vanport Township (newsbreak.com) — State Police in Beaver say a 25-year-old McMurray man was arrested for drug-related DUI after allegedly driving the wrong way on I-376 in Vanport Township and striking another vehicle near Aliquippa. The late-night September 17 crash drew multiple 911 calls about a car traveling east in the westbound lanes before troopers stopped and arrested the driver at the scene.
4. Man Sentenced To Life In Prison For Role in Rt. 422 Killing (newsbreak.com) — A Beaver County man has been sentenced to life in prison for his role in a deadly scheme along Route 422 that killed a Murrysville resident in 2023. Prosecutors say the victim was lured while collecting a large loan payment, shot in a pickup truck, and later left at a Clarion County campsite, with two alleged accomplices still facing separate proceedings.
