• Bellefonte, BEA look to overcome setbacks in Curtin Bowl (lockhaven.com) — Bellefonte football fans have a big night ahead as the Red Raiders visit Bald Eagle for the 73rd Curtin Bowl, with kickoff at 7 p.m. in Wingate. Both teams are trying to rebound from recent Centre County losses, and Bellefonte’s young passing duo of Alten Howell and Parker Jodon will be crucial to regaining momentum and keeping playoff hopes alive.

The plan aims to connect remaining unserved homes and businesses, including many in Centre County, by 2030. • Hundreds of middle schoolers participate in Happy Valley STEM event (wjactv.com) — Bellefonte families can check out this weekend’s Maker Faire Happy Valley at Axemann Brewery and Titan Hollow, offering free, hands-on STEM activities for kids. The event grew from Bellefonte’s own Maker Faire and aims to make science fun and accessible, especially for students from rural districts who may struggle to reach weekend programs.
