Keep an eye out this summer for these 12 food trucks that visit Philly and its suburbs. They're among America's best, The Daily Meal says.

A dozen food trucks that serve up an array of mouthwatering cuisine on wheels across the Philadelphia region are among the very best in the country, according to food critics at The Daily Meal website.

Yes, that's right. Twelve of the food trucks you'll see this summer at local events throughout suburban Philadelphia are included on the popular website's list of 101 Best Food Trucks in America.

To create the list, the website that covers all things food drew inspiration from the publication's previous lists as well as city guides. In addition, The Daily Meal editors scoured review sites like Yelp, TripAdvisor, Zomato, and social media followings.

The Daily Meal noted that operating a "food truck requires equal parts heart and culinary chops."

"Tight parking spaces, pesky traffic cops, cramped kitchens, and streets congested with competition are just a few of the obstacles a food truck must overcome," the website says. "But every year, more and more food truck owners start the engine, driven by a passion for cooking and the desire to share their innovative culinary concepts with the world (or at least their neighborhood)."

The website says there are new additions to this year's list, introducing customers to a variety of cuisine, including jianbing (Chinese savory crepes) and om gai (spicy herbed chicken thinly sliced in a chile-paste broth).
