$165,000 Grant Will Combat Graffiti Crime In Bensalem Township
Bensalem's Council Monday approved the Towns Against Graffiti grant, which is shared with Penndel and Middletown and Bristol townships.
BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —A grant to combat graffiti is coming to the township.
The Bensalem Township Council approved a resolution accepting $165,000 from the municipal grant program awarded by the Bucks County Redevelopment Authority.
The grant is for Towns Against Graffiti.

Township Solicitor Joseph Pizzo told the council that the grant is shared with Penndel and Middletown and Bristol townships with Bensalem acting as the lead agency.
The council also accepted another municipal grant for $115,600 regarding the Bucks County Police Chiefs Association Records Management System.

Both grants, Pizzo said, come from monies from Parx Casino.
In other council business:
The council voted to amend the 2021 and 2022 Community Development Block Grant Program. Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo said the HUD money needs to be redistributed as it was in December and that the township needs to specify when it uses the money for certain projects.
