2 Bensalem Teachers Named Finalists For 2017 Bucks County Teacher Of The Year

The top ten finalists for the Bucks County Teacher of the Year contest have been selected. The teachers, picked from throughout the county, were selected by the community through an online voting process.

Congrats to Dana DiJoseph of Belmont Hills Elementary School and Michelle Kramer of Bensalem High School. Both were named finalists.

More than 40,000 votes were cast for 250 teachers in Bucks County as part of the contest, sponsored by Inspire Federal Credit Union.

A committee will now evaluate and judge all 10 finalists submissions and determine the top three and eventual winner. The winner will receive a $2,500 prize. The two runners-up will each receive a $1,000 prize and all three schools with be awarded $500.

The 2017 finalists are:

• Karen McGuckin – Mill Creek Elementary School (Central Bucks)
• Kelly Alberts – Carl Sandburg Middle School (Neshaminy)
• Kenneth Ehrmann – Seylar Elementary School (Pennridge)
• Kristina Temple – Brookwood Elementary School (Bristol Township)
• Matthew Fash – Lenape Middle School (Central Bucks)
• Michael Zweig – Pine Run Elementary School (Central Bucks)
• Michelle Kramer – Bensalem High School (Bensalem)
• Patricia Wright – William Penn Middle School (Pennsbury)
