4 New Bensalem Police Officers Take Oath

Bensalem Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo swore in the four new officers during a ceremony Monday. A former FBI agent is among the hires.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The Bensalem Township Police Department has added four new police officers to the force after a swearing-in ceremony Monday morning.

Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo gave the oath of office to Police Officers Mitchell Fenton, Jennifer Mullin, Madison Taylor, and John Corcoran.

Mitchell Fenton

Fenton comes to the township after spending four years with the FBI. He also served 5 1/2 years with the U.S. Coast Guard. He graduated from Delaware Valley University and was a graduate of Council Rock High School. Fenton will be attending the Temple University Police Academy to obtain his Act 120 certification.

Jennifer Mullin

Mullin was a Philadelphia Police Officer for eight years and was most recently assigned to the 15th District and was selected by her captain to be a member of the 5-squad. She has a degree from Holy Family University and graduated from Archbishop Ryan High School.

Madison Taylor

Taylor comes from the private sector and is a lifelong resident of the township. She attended the Montgomery County Police Academy and obtained her Act 120 certification. Taylor has a degree from Chestnut Hill College and is currently working on her master's degree. She also graduated from Archbishop Ryan High School.

John Corcoran

Corcoran also comes from the private sector. He has a degree from Holy Family University and is working on his master's degree. Corcoran graduated from Father Judge High School and will be attending the Temple University Police Academy to obtain his Act 120 certification.
