“I really appreciate Congressman Fitzpatrick’s help, it’s a thrill,” Schlosser said. “The items from today will be passed down for generations; the flag to one daughter and the medals to the other.
Fitzpatrick said he was grateful to help and glad that Kelly received the recognition he deserves.
“Americans from each generation have put their lives on the line in the name of freedom and the service of others. That service and sacrifice deserves to be recognized – including that of Mr. Kelly,” said Fitzpatrick. “I’m grateful to have the opportunity today to right a wrong and award these medals to Mr. Kelly’s daughter. Each veteran deserves the support and acknowledgment of a grateful nation.”
Fitzpatrick’s staff includes Military and Veteran’s Affairs caseworkers who are available to assist Bucks and Montgomery county veterans and families with military records, federal agencies requests, VA benefits and more.
