$900 In Property Tax Relief Offered For Bensalem Seniors
The Bensalem Township School District said the program would help offset high living costs for senior citizens on fixed incomes.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The Bensalem Township School District is offering property tax relief of up to $900 for senior citizens to help offset the high cost of living for those on fixed incomes.
The application deadline is June 30.
The school district said that property tax assistance forms for qualified senior citizens are available on the district's website. Click here for the form.

Senior citizens can also pick up a form at the:
- Dorothy D. Call Administrative Center, 3000 Donallen Dr.
- Bensalem Senior Citizens Center, 1850 Byberry Rd.
- Bensalem Township Tax Office, 3750 Hulmeville Rd.
In order to qualify for the tax relief, senior citizens must:

- Reach the age of 65 by Dec. 31, 2022.
- Have an annual household income less than $20,000 (includes reporting 50 percent of Social Security or Railroad Retirement benefits, and 100 percent of any other income).
Since 1977, rebates totaling more than $3 million have been paid by the school district through the program. Last year, more than 120 rebates were issued.
