Arrest Made In Bar Brawl: Bensalem Police

Breaking: Bensalem Police have made an arrest in connection with last month's brawl at Big Heads Bar.

BENSALEM, PA — Bensalem Police have made an arrest in connection with last month's brawl at Big Heads Bar. Police have arrested Jomar Garcia and charged him with aggravated assault and related charges.

Garcia, 25, of Bensalem, was identified by police thanks to numerous tips that were sent in once authorities made public a videotape of the brawl, which involved punches, pool cue swinging and bottle throwing.

Garcia was arraigned by District Justice Gallagher and his bail was set at $75,000. He was released on his own recognizance, police said.

The incident happened on Dec. 20 at the Street Road establishment. The scuffle, which erupted about 10 p.m., was captured on camera. According to police, four men who were drinking at the bar instigated the fight, which began after one of the men had a dispute with the bartender.

Police say one suspect punched the bartender. As Big Heads employees were trying to remove the group from the establishment, another suspect struck an employee in the head with a bottle, causing a serious laceration, police said.

Another man is accused of picking up a pool cue and swinging it at employees. All four male suspects fled Big Heads in two separate older-model, four-door gray cars, police said.

It is not clear exactly what role Garcia played in the scuffle, and if more arrests are pending.
