Bensalem High School Holds 99th Commencement
More than 530 Bensalem High School seniors turned the tassels during a ceremony last Wednesday.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —For 99 years, Bensalem High School seniors have turned the tassels.
With the Class of 2023's ceremony last week, the Bensalem School District bid farewell to another graduating class at its 99th annual commencement ceremony.
School officials said 532 graduates received their high school diplomas during the ceremony as the class begins to write new chapters of their lives as they enter universities and colleges across the country, including American, Drexel, Penn State, Tufts, Princeton, Cal Tech, Holy Family, and Temple, among others.

Speakers at the ceremony included: Bensalem High School Principal Frank Flanagan, Schools Superintendent Samuel Lee, Valedictorian Brian Olsen; and Class President Saige Zebrowski.
“A quote that I would share with all of you is one that I actually have hung up in the hallway on the wall at my house for my own children so they can see it and hopefully find some motivation from it each day," Flanagan said. "It’s a quote by Dr. Seuss and that is: 'You’re off to great places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So…get on your way!'”

School officials wished the graduates well in all their future endeavors and know that they will continue to demonstrate the pride, tradition, and spirit of being a Bensalem Owl.
