Bensalem High School Senior Wins $5K In Financial Jeopardy Game

Congratulations to ​Bensalem High School senior Vrund Patel, who won Financial Jeopardy and took home the $5,000 grand prize.

A Bensalem High School senior won an area Financial Jeopardy Game, taking home the $5,000 grand prize, school officials announced this week.

Vrund Patel won TruMark Financial Credit Union’s Financial Jeopardy Game, a spin-off of the long-running nightly quiz show. It was the 11th annual Financial Jeopardy Game and it took place on May 9 in Fort Washington.

Financial Jeopardy tests the students’ personal finance knowledge, focusing on categories such as banking, credit, taxes, budgeting, and investments, information from the Bensalem Township School District said.

Vrund competed against student representatives from Abington, George Washington, Neshaminy, Norristown, Northeast, Plymouth Whitemarsh, Upper Dublin, Radnor, Roman Catholic, and William Tennent.

Vrund plans to attend Drexel University in the fall, according to information from the district.
