Bensalem Mock Trial Team Makes It To State Championship

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The Bensalem Mock Trial team made it to the Top 4 out of 262 teams in the state of Pennsylvania.

School officials said the team competed in the state championships in Harrisburg on Friday, winning both trials, making it to the semifinal round Saturday morning as 1 of 4 teams left.

The team lost by one ballot and one point, school officials said.

Team members included: Seniors: Victoria Mocarski - Captain, Zachary Brunell, Andrew Reznitchenko, and David Diabene. Juniors on the team were Rishi Jani - Captain, Chudier Nyak, Kailey Roberts, Phoebe Ting. Sophomores included Lucas Ferrandez, and Nand Patel.

The team was coached by Lisa Tokmajian with Attorney Advisor: Brittney Kern, Esq.

In other school district news:

• BHS senior Samantha Bajek performed in the PMEA Region VI Orchestra Festival last week at Central Bucks High School West. She was selected along with other top music students from schools in Bucks, Montgomery, Delaware, Philadelphia, and Chester counties. A tremendous accomplishment, Sam was selected for all 3 ensembles (orchestra, band, and choir) at both the District and Region levels this year. She will perform in the PMEA All-State Choir in April along with fellow BHS students Ethan Hinshaw and Maggie MacAdams.
• Congratulations to BHS junior Maya Krieger and sophomore Payton Hinkle on a wonderful season! We were delighted to recognize their accomplishments at last evening's board meeting.
