Bensalem Police, NAACP Family Event Canceled For Rain

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook​ for Monday evening for a region including Bensalem.

BENSALEM, PA — A forecast calling for strong storms has canceled a family event by Bensalem Township Police and the NAACP scheduled for Monday evening.

The event was set for 7 p.m. Monday at the Bensalem Police Department at 2400 Byberry Rd. and was to be held instead of the regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the local branch of the NAACP.

Police said Monday morning it will be rescheduled for a date in the near future.

The purpose of the family-friendly event was to open the Bensalem Police Department to the community for tours and other activities.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Monday evening for a region including Bensalem. Heavy downpours expected throughout the region could result in localized flooding, the NWS said.
