Bensalem Police Recognized With NAACP Award
The organization recognized the Bensalem Township Police Department for its diversity in hiring police officers.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The Bensalem Township Police Department has received a special recognition award from the Bucks County NAACP.
Bensalem Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo, Public Safety Director William McVey, command staff members, and police officers attended the event hosted by Parx Casino earlier this week.
The police department was recognized for its community service and collaborative efforts to create a diverse workforce.

"The award is a credit to the men and women who serve in Bensalem Township and the NAACP members who assisted with our hiring process," the police department said.
"Our civilian hiring board members have a simple philosophy, 'We only want the best for Bensalem,' and that has helped the Bensalem Township Police Department to build an unrivaled culture of excellence," the police department said.
