We asked Patch Readers what they thought the biggest safety issues were in their town. Here’s a list of the most pressing problems, from break-ins to traffic jams:

  • "Lack of sidewalks. We are walkers to Valley Elementary and no matter what route you take from my house, at some point we are walking on the grass of someone's property to avoid the road."
  • "School buses performing rolling stops through stop signs."
  • "Lack of sidewalks, speeding school bus drivers and inconsiderate aggressive drivers."
  • "They put in a casino. And now the rest of us have a new tax to cover the extra police needed. The revenue from the casino was supposed to lower or taxes."
  • "Speeding through the school zone lights and going through the school bus' red flashing lights."
  • "People turning out of that shopping center onto Bristol Pike block the entire intersection for the opposite traffic and nobody to move or turn because of it."
  • "No walking paths for pedestrians on Gibson road. The road is hilly and it is hard to see until you're right up on the pedestrian, most of which are kids."
  • "People not stopping at stop signs, running through red lights and never using signals to change lanes or turn."
  • "No sidewalks and they expect kids to walk to school."
  • "Heroin addiction"
