Bensalem Students Pack Bags For The Homeless

BENSALEM, PA — Some sixth-grade students in Bensalem spent Martin Luther King Jr. Day helping out the homeless.
Students at School Lane Charter School spent Monday morning putting together bags of badly needed supplies to be distributed by SELF Inc., a nonprofit that operates seven shelters in Philadelphia.
In October, the students hosted a donation drive to collect supplies including shampoo, toothpaste, hair brushes and socks. A representative from SELF and one of the organization’s former clients also spoke the students Monday about the impact their work has
