BENSALEM, PA — Engineering students from Bensalem High School this week got a chance to visit Villanova University and tour the labs there.

The students and their teacher, Dan Lubacz, were guests of professor Christa Bialka and Gregory Hannah, assistant director of the Office of Disability Services at Villanova, on Monday. They toured the labs of engineering professor Gregory Hannah and saw first-hand some of the work he has done with his students accommodating people with disabilities.

Among the technology they saw was a 3D printer device that allows someone to type on a tablet to communicate vocally.

Last March, Bensalem High students built a snow sled for people who are blind or otherwise vision-impaired. The visit at Villanova was a product of their work.

They also met with recent Villanova engineering graduates to discuss their future college and career plans.
