Deadly Boston Marathon Explosions: 2 Langhorne Runners Safe

Two runners from Langhorne participated in the race among many others from Bucks County.

At least three people were killed and more than 130 injured in explosions near the Boston Marathon finish line at about 3 p.m. Monday, according to CNN.

Two runners Eric Bofinger, 28, and Peter Lederer, 46—both from Langhorne—were participating in the marathon in addition to many others from Bucks County, according to the Boston Marathon website.

Lederer and his family are safe, according to a post on Facebook and an email. Patch has not received information on Bofinger, but PhillyBurbs has a brief interview with him, which indicates that he is also safe.

"Of the 23,326 runners who started, 17,584 crossed the line," according to a tweet from RunnersWorld. The last recorded finisher was a 2:57 p.m., the running magazine said.

Bofinger crossed the finish line at 12:36:34 p.m. and Lederer finished at 12:59:38 p.m., according to information on the marathon's website.
