Give Mom a Mother’s Day to Remember in Bucks County

Mother’s Day: it’s a time to celebrate mom and all she does for you. Make this year extra special for your mother by celebrating in Bucks County. Treat her to a day of shopping, a night with the arts, an afternoon of wine tasting or a delicious brunch.

•  Visit the Byers’ Choice Emporium in Chalfont for their second annual Mother’s Day Craft Show, Saturday and Sunday, May 11 and 12. Seventy crafters from around the country will take part in this juried exhibition. Be sure to tour the Emporium and see where the Byers’ Choice team of artisans has been handcrafting Carolers® for more than 30 years.

• Moms can tap into their creative side at Ladies Night Out at the James A. Michener Art Museum on Friday, May 10. Guests can tour the new Infinite Mirror exhibit before joining Bucks County painter, sculpture and printmaker Stacie Speer Scott in creating a mixed media piece.

•  For a unique celebration, take mom to one of Bucks County’s wineries. Crossing Vineyards and Winery is hosting a Wine Tasting for Moms, including a five-course meal on Saturday, May 11. Moms and their families can enjoy brunch at Sand Castle Winery on Sunday, May 12. Also on Sunday, the New Hope Winery is hosting brunch with live music by acoustic trio Catmoondaddy.

• Ride the rails this Mother’s Day on the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad. Enjoy brunch on one of the railroad’s historic passenger cars as you pass through the Bucks County countryside on your nine-mile round trip.

•  Spend Mother’s Day with the family at Pennsbury Manor. All ladies are invited to try on authentic colonial gowns, and the Manor will be offering special living history demonstrations on 17^th century fashion, clothing and textiles. Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve is celebrating mothers all day Sunday. Guided tours are being offered all day, and children can stop by the craft station to make a special gift for mom.
