Philadelphia, Pa. - The Holy Family University softball team has dedicated Saturday's doubleheader as 'Strike Out MS' day at Helen Randle Park in Newtown. The Tigers will host Felician College at 12 p.m.
This season the Holy Family softball team has been raising money and making awareness of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). More than 2.5 million people worldwide are currently living with MS and every hour, someone is newly diagnosed with this disease. MS has affected several people who are close to the team so the Tigers teamed up with the 'Multiple Sclerosis Society' to raise awareness about this disease and to raise money to help 'Strike Out MS'.
Currently there is no cure for MS, so the team has been raising money and will continue to do so during the doubleheader on Saturday. The team will be taking donations throughout the day and fans can even make a donation online. Click here to visit the team's donation page and help find a cure for this disease.
The team will continue to take donations during the course of Saturday's doubleheader. The Tigers will also be wearing orange jerseys in support of the awareness of MS. Fans are also encouraged to wear orange to the game!
To date, the Tigers have raised over $1,000 towards their goal of $2,000! Help the team reach their goal on Saturday.
