Bristol Road In Bensalem Closed For Pipe Repair

The road was closed on Monday, following "severe deterioration" of a pipe there, PennDOT said.

BENSALEM, PA — Part of Bristol Road in Bensalem will remain closed through this week as crews continue pipe repairs there.

The road is closed between Spruce Avenue and U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway), PennDOT announced. The road was closed on Monday, following "severe deterioration" of a pipe there, PennDOT said.

During the closure, Bristol Road drivers will be detoured over U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway), Route 132 (Street Road), and Route 213 (Bridgetown Pike). Local access will be maintained up to the closure.

Bristol Road will soon be the site of a lot more construction. Bids are set to go out next year on a massive improvement project between Old Lincoln Highway and Pasqualone Boulevard.
