Bucks County Catholic Church To Close, Archdiocese Announces

Saint Joseph the Worker Church in Fallsington will close permanently on Nov. 1, The Archdiocese of Philadelphia announced Sunday.

“The church will no longer serve as a worship site and will close as a Roman Catholic Church,” the Archdiocese said in a statement.

In July 2014, Saint Joseph the Worker Parish merged with Saint Frances Cabrini Parish in Fairless Hills. Since then, the Saint Joseph the Worker Church building became a worship site and was available for occasional Mass as well as funerals and weddings.

The news was shared at St. Frances Cabrini Church during Masses over the weekend.

Saint Joseph the Worker Church requires approximately $1,001,700 in repairs, including to the church roof and heating system.
