Vince's Pizzeria dates back to 1946 in Northeast Philadelphia.
BENSALEM, PA — An iconic Philadelphia pizza restaurant is opening a location in Bensalem, one of two offshoots planned in Bucks County.
The Inquirer reports that Vince's Pizzeria, a staple on Grant Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia, will open in late spring on State Road. The Bensalem location will be owned by Vince Rota, the grandson of the Philly location's founder, the paper reported.
The restaurant is planned at 2500 State Rd., the mixed-use development that includes Broken Goblet Brewing.

Another Vince's location is set to open in May in Wrightstown Township, near Newtown. That one will be owned by Ed and Heather Murray. Ed Murray's family runs the Philly location.
The original recipe of Vince's Pizzeria dates to 1946, when Charlie Yachovetti started selling pizza on cardboard wrapped in brown paper out of his row home at the corner of Goodman and Rising Sun Avenue in North Philadelphia.
