County-Wide Food Drive Set For March 9

The Operation Helping Hand food drive will be held across Bucks County on March 9.

The Operation Helping Hand food drive will be held across Bucks County next week.

This event, organized by United Way of Bucks County and the Bucks County Opportunity Council, will be held Wednesday, March 9.

“This one-day event helps to stock the cupboards of food banks around the very diverse communities that comprise Bucks,” the county announced on its website.

The United Way is hoping to collect 65,000 pounds of food through participation in schools, businesses and other offices.

“Literally every school district in Bucks County – plus dozens of local businesses – will be part of this project,“ United Way of Bucks County said in an event announcement.

If you’d like to participate, drop off non-perishable goods such as peanut butter, soup, canned fruit and vegetables, rice, beans and pasta at one of the following locations:

  • Bucks County Justice Center (100 N. Main St., Doylestown)
  • The Bucks County Administration Building (55 E. Court St., Doylestown).
