Crews to Be Making Repairs on Rt. 13 Wednesday, Expect Delays

The $36.5 million project to repair Route 13 between Haines Road and Levittown Parkway will be completed in October.

Be prepared for some traffic stoppages Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Route 13 between Haines Road and Levittown Parkway in Bristol Township and Tullytown Borough so crews can install beams for the bridge over Otter Creek.

Stoppages can be expected in both directions.

The work is part of PennDOT’s $36.5 million project to rebuild and improve four miles of Route 13.Crews will be rehabilitating deteriorated pavement, rebuilding bridges, replacing drainage facilities that date back to the 1940s, building sidewalks for pedestrians, installing medians, removing jug handles, reducing travel speeds and implementing traffic calming measures.

The general contractor is James D. Morrissey, Inc. of Philadelphia is the general contractor for project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.

The entire project is expected to be finished in October 2015.
