Driver Injured After Vehicle Veers Off Route 95: FD

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —A driver was injured after a vehicle went off the roadway on northbound Route 95 early Wednesday morning, fire officials said.

The Eddington Fire Company responded at 4:06 a.m. Wednesday to a single-vehicle crash on northbound Route 95, just north of Street Road.

Fire officials said the vehicle went off the roadway, down the embankment, and into the high brush and trees.

The driver was "heavily entrapped" and fire officials worked to free the driver in an extrication that took about 20 minutes.

"Thanks to all companies that worked extremely fast to free the individual and get them on the way to the hospital for care," the Eddington Fire Company said in a Facebook post Wednesday.

Eddington was assisted by the Cornwells Fire Company, Penndel Fire Company, Newportville Fire Company, Bensalem Rescue Squad, and the Bucks County Rescue Squad.
