Investigators had alleged the quantity of methamphetamine involved suggested an intent to distribute, which formed the basis of the more serious charges that have since been withdrawn.
The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office did not state why the felony charges were dropped, citing the ongoing nature of the case.
Mee served as a Bensalem police officer for 13 years before leaving the department in 2019 in good standing for personal reasons.
Mee remains free on unsecured bail as the case proceeds through the court system.
