Firefighter Injured In 3-Story Fall At Bensalem House Fire: Police
A Nottingham Fire Company volunteer firefighter fell from a roof while battling a fire Saturday morning in Bensalem, police said.

A Nottingham Fire Company volunteer firefighter who fell from a roof while battling a fire Saturday morning in Bensalem is in stable condition, police said.
The fire was reported shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday on the 1100 block of Tennis Avenue. When firefighters arrived, there were heavy flames coming from the second story of the home.
While fighting the fire, Nottingham Fire Company Volunteer Nick Weaver, who also serves on Bensalem Fire Rescue, fell from a third-story roof, police said.

He sustained injuries to his face, neck, and back. Weaver was transported to Aria Torresdale Hospital and as of Saturday night was in stable condition.
Police said a second volunteer firefighter was also transported to Aria Torresdale Hospital for observation after experiencing tightness in his chest. That firefighter, who was not identified, remains in stable condition.

One person was in the house at the time and they were able to safely escape, suffering only minor burns their feet.
Authorities believe the fire started in a second-floor bedroom and quickly spread to the attic.
"Bensalem Fire Investigators are still investigating the cause of the fire, but are saying at this time it does not appear suspicious," police said.
