Growden Day Celebrates Bensalem History

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — Growden Day will showcase some of the township's history at its annual event on Saturday.

The Historical Society of Bensalem Township — along with Bensalem Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo and the Township Council — will hold Growden Day at the historic Growden Mansion from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Township officials have been working to update, preserve, and restore the historic Growden Mansion.

On Saturday, residents will be given the opportunity to step inside and experience this important piece of Bensalem’s history.

After all, it is speculated that this is one of the places where Benjamin Franklin flew his kite.

Attendees can walk through the mansion, see the restoration progress, and take a look at this historic landmark in all its glory.
