Homeland Security Alerted After 43 Propane Tanks Stolen In Philly, Reports Say

The theft of 43 propane tanks from two industrial yards in Northeast Philadelphia has prompted Philadelphia Police to notify Homeland Security, according to reports.

6ABC reported Philadelphia Police have notified Homeland Security as a precautionary measure due to the amount of propane stolen.

“When you talk about the quantity that’s been taken, there’s been like 40-something tanks taken, that adds up to a lot of propane that would last you a long time so that’s what we are worried about,” Lt. Dennis Rosenbaum of Northeast Detectives told 6ABC.
