House Fire Under Investigation In Bensalem

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —An early Tuesday morning fire at a Merganser Way home is under investigation, fire officials said.

The Newport Fire Company said it and mutual aid companies were dispatched to the 5300 block of Merganser Way at 5:07 a.m. Tuesday for the reported house fire.

Fire crews arrived and reported that smoke was showing in the rear of the two-story single home.

Firefighters were able to knock down the fire quickly before it spread to the rest of the home.

The Bensalem Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.
