Man, 45, Killed In Lower Bucks House Fire

Fire officials said the man died after a home in a Bensalem Township trailer park was fully engulfed in flames Friday evening.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —A 45-year-old man was killed in a house fire in a township trailer park Friday evening, authorities said.

Joseph Stadler was found inside the home at the Top of The Ridge Trailer Park just after 5 p.m. Friday, authorities said.

A firefighter was taken by Bensalem EMS to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital for treatment, fire officials said. He suffered smoke inhalation while battling the blaze and was later released.

Fire crews responded to a call for a trailer fire on Gibson Road with entrapment and found the mobile home at D14 was fully engulfed in flames.

The fire had also extended to the neighboring mobile home on lot D12.

Firefighters extinguished the fire and limited the damage to only two mobile homes. In total, four 1 1/2 water lines were in service to extinguish the fire in both trailers.

When firefighters entered the lot D14 mobile home, they discovered a deceased man, identified as Stadler, inside.

No other injuries to residents were reported.

The fire is currently under investigation by Bensalem Fire and Police investigators.

Bensalem Township Police, along with Bensalem Fire Rescue and volunteers from Newport, Nottingham, and Penndel fire companies, responded to the fire.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the fire started in the home's living room area, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The mobile home on lot D14 was a total loss, and D12 suffered significant damage, fire officials said.

The Red Cross was on the scene assisting residents displaced by this fire.
