Man Wanted In Bensalem Smoke Shop Armed Robbery

A man pointed a handgun at a clerk and told him to put money in one bag and cigarettes in another, police say.

UPDATE: The Bensalem Police Department arrested Marshall Brooks on Tuesday. He was arraigned and bail was set at $250,000.

BENSALEM, PA — Police in Bensalem are seeking a man they say robbed a smoke shop at gunpoint on Valentine's Day.

Officers were called to the First Stop Tobacco Shop, at 1606 Street Rd., where witnesses said a man pointed a handgun at a clerk and told him to put money in one bag and cigarettes in another.

Police later identified the suspect in the case as Marshall Brooks, 53.

They say Brooks got away with $400 and six cartons of Newport cigarettes.

A warrant has been issued for Brooks' arrest on charges including robbery, aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats and theft.

Brooks is described as a white male, standing 5'10" and weighing about 190 pounds. He has blue eyes and is bald.
