McVey Named President Of Police Chiefs Association
Bensalem Public Safety Director William McVey was recently named the 89th president of the Police Chiefs' Association of Southeastern PA.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Bensalem Public Safety Director has made a name for himself as a police leader who is tough on crime, focused on innovation, and takes pride in commanding one of Bucks County's top police departments.
Now he's head of the Police Chiefs' Association of Southeastern PA.
"It's something I'm very proud of," McVey told Patch recently. "I've been part of this group for 10 years and have risen through the line of officers. This is my year as president. It's truly an honor."

The fraternal organization represents Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, Delaware, and Chester counties.
McVey is the association's 89th president. He was named president in March.

When McVey was named president, the organization also held the swearing-in of its executive board by former Bucks County District Attorney and current Judge Matthew Weintraub.
Warrington Police Chief Daniel J. Friel was newly elected to serve on the association's executive board representing Bucks County.
The association's mission is to secure closer official and personal relationships among members of law enforcement agencies in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
The organization also works to secure unity of action in police matters, evaluate and elevate police standards and practices, and secure the advancement of police professionalization by promoting the use of humane efforts in the enforcement of laws, and the use of advanced methods for the prevention and detection of crime.
The group also encourages advanced professional conduct, expertise, and knowledge through scholarships, seminars, and other appropriate means, and enhances the quality of life in communities by supporting various charitable endeavors.
